This workshop provides a basic understanding of Robotics and Electronics Overview
Systems. Students will get the knowledge and an overview in the field of designing, construction, operation, and application of Robots with real time hands-on practical experience.
Duration: 5 days, with 5 Sessions, 1 hour each, properly divided into theory and hands-on practical sessions.
Schedule:
Session 1
Introduction to Basics Electronics & Robotics
What are robots? What are their characteristics? Classification of robots. Applications of robots in different fields. Basic components of a mobile robot - gripper, wheels, and actuators.
How to program the IR sensors of the robot to detect objects
in front of it and follow them? An
electronic circuit to Catch the rays of light
● Basic Electronics and Electrical Fundamentals
● Basic Electronic Components like Sensors, Relays, IC’s
Session 2
My Circuit Controls!!!
Let’s interface a few of that with a few
of these and make something working,
hey you all!!! Oh, that’s controlling
circuits, Oh my my, let’s create
something great
● Light controlling circuits
● Interfacing of Sensors with IC’s
Day 3 (Session 3
Motors and driving circuits
Hey!!! Do you want to run, roll and drive? Oh, yeah if you do, you need tires for that. And how to control the motion then? Isn’t it obvious, it’s by controlling functions of motor, and you are ready to rock and roll !!!
● Interfacing of Motors
● Motors and Controlling Circuits
Session 4
My First Robot
Assembling plays a major role that deals with the
mechanical section of Robotics including
mounting of components and mechanical
stability. As the name suggests, Line Follower
Robot is a well-programmed mobile machine that
can follow a path visible like Black Line on White
Surface or vice versa.
This session will give you a brief about
● Interfacing of ICs to Motor Drivers to Motors.
● Assembly and Testing of Line Following Robot
● Assembly of Gesture Following Robot
● My Shy Robot
Session 5
Robot that follows
Simple fuzzy logic will do the job of maneuvering the robot according to the Line Following Algorithm discussed in session 4.
Discussion on Different Algorithms
● Line Following Robot Algorithms
● Obstacle Avoider Robot Algorithm
●Light Searching Robot Algorithm
Project to be Covered
● Automated Lights using IR Module
● Automated Lights using LDR Module
● Motor Control
● Line Follower
● Gesture Controlled robot
